Solar - When thinking about eclipses, Kaylee Harwood wanted to capture the energies of both the sun and moon and has designed a complementing pair of brass hoop hangings. SOLAR is radiant, with an asymmetrical design on a round brass hoop form and a shadow cast between segmented layers, which pairs beautifully with LUNAR's calming evenness. All materials are Canadian-sourced from small businesses, and the cord is high-quality soft recycled cotton fibre. This piece measures approximately 10" by 27".

Welcome to High Strung Retro Décor by Kaylee Harwood. I’m an Ontario-born, West Coast-raised performer and a life-long crafter, starting with beading, embroidery and rug-hooking as a child. I had a business at age 9 selling beaded lizards to my neighbourhood and never lost the knack for handmade decor. For years, I’ve been making macramé plant hangers for my own space and to give away as gifts, but it wasn’t until the shutdown last year that I started exploring driftwood hangings, hoop designs, earrings and ornaments, and now here we are!
I’m excited to introduce this pair of brass hoop and cotton cord wall hangings, exclusive to the Eclipse Shoppe. The first is Solar- inspired with an asymmetrical, radiant design, and the second is Lunar with a calming, muted symmetry. They look great hanging as a pair in a space, or feel free to choose your favourite! All my materials are Canadian-sourced from small businesses, and my cord is soft and high-quality, woven from recycled cotton fibre.
